Editorial policy
Sources come first
We build stories from original documents: government notifications and press releases, regulator circulars, stock-exchange filings, and official company statements. When we rely on reporting by other outlets, we say so and link to it. We do not copy other publishers' text or images.
Every fact is traceable
Each claim in a story is linked to the passage in the source that supports it. The sources section at the bottom of every story lists the documents we used and whether each is an original document or reporting by others.
How we use AI
- AI tools watch official sources and flag new documents.
- AI drafts story text from those documents, and a separate automated check tests each claim against its source.
- A human editor reviews and approves every version before it is published. Nothing goes live without that approval.
- Story illustrations may be AI-generated. They are always labelled as such, and they never show real people, faces, logos or brand marks.
Updates
Stories are living pages. When something changes, we update the page, add a timeline entry, and change the "last updated" time. Developing stories are labelled as such.
Corrections
When we get something wrong, we fix it and add a visible correction note to the story. See Corrections.
Independence
Sponsored content, if we ever carry it, will be clearly labelled and kept separate from reporting. Sponsors have no say over what we cover or how.
